Granddad bridge on the Dworshak Reservoir is 78 feet high from the bridge to the water. A dizzy experience if you are not to sure of heights and do not want to stand too close to the railing
This man-made reservoir is located on river mile 1.9 of the North Fork of the Clearwater River, just outside of the city of Orofino, Idaho.
The damming of the North Fork of the Clearwater River also resulted in the construction of the Grandad bridge, a cantilever bridge that crosses 302 feet (90 meters) above the old river level about 50 miles (80km) upstream of the dam and about 33 miles (53 kms) from the Dent bridge. One of Idaho’s biggest waterways, the Clearwater eventually empties into the Snake River at the border of Idaho and Washington states.
I am an artist. I like experimenting with different mediums. I use pen and ink, pencil, watercolors, glass etching & oils. I like photography. Now I use the computer for my digital art. I discovered digital art..I love creating on the computer and I have been known to check my hands to see how messy they were, as digital art is so lifelike. My artist name is Debspoons and I like lots of color in my paintings. I like painting landscapes and animals. I am also an illustrator and a member of a few stock photography sites.
